Artist Statement

"The Mailroom Drawings" is a body of work, which quite simply was conceived and created while working in a mailroom. The work is a reflection of the complex relationship between order and chaos and demonstrates the striking visual balance that can be achieved by juxtaposing bold strait lines with erratic sub-imagery. All of the drawings incorporate items found while working in the mailroom, weather it be a stamp, white-out, tape or simply a ruler. The goal was to use the mailroom as my creative den and resource center. I wanted the environment to dictate what I created.
