Delano Dunn is a native of Los Angeles, California. In 1997 Dunn left Los Angeles to attend Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York where he studied illustration earning a BFA in Communications Design. After leaving school Dunn worked as a freelance illustrator and web designer. While freelancing, Dunn found himself pulling away from illustration, feeling that it was limiting his artistic expression. Wishing to pursue his own artistic endeavors, Dunn began working on paintings and drawings that derived from imagery and experiences from his childhood.

Dunn sees his work as forever evolving and for that reason there is no overriding artist statement. Everything changes from drawing to drawing and painting to painting.

Dunn currently lives in New York City. His works are in private collections nationally and internationally.
